Subject-Verb Agreement বলতে বোঝায় বাক্যের Subject এবং Verb-এর মধ্যে Number ও Person-এর মিল থাকা

মূল নিয়ম:

→ Singular Subject + Singular Verb (He goes. / She reads. / It is.)

→ Plural Subject + Plural Verb (They go. / Students read. / We are.)

নিয়ম 2: 3rd Person Singular-এ s/es যোগের নিয়ম

Present Simple Tense-এ 3rd Person Singular Subject-এর সাথে Verb-এ s বা es যোগ হয়

সাধারণত s যোগ: reads, writes, plays, eats, runs, works, walks

-s, -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o শেষে → es যোগ:

Consonant + y শেষে → y বাদ দিয়ে ies:

study→studies, carry→carries, fly→flies, try→tries, cry→cries

Vowel + y শেষেশুধু s:

plays, buys, says, pays, enjoys, stays

বিশেষ অনিয়মিত রূপ: have→has, be→is, do→does
